Located on the corner of Wood Lane and Shaftesbury Avenue in Timperley, the Hare and Hounds is a excellent large family pub. Positioned next to the Timperley Sports Club and the Municipal Golf Course, the area in mostly residential, and is sited on the main route from Altrincham to the M60 and onwards to Stockport.
Recently renovated by the Marstons Inns and Taverners Company, the Hare and Hounds has been re-launched as a Taverners Carvery, where you can enjoy succulent beef, turkey and gammon joints, hand carved by our experienced chefs, along side freshly prepared vegetables and sauces.
The Hare and Hounds offers it’s diners a very comfortable and relaxing surroundings. You simply order at the bar, giving your table number, when you are ready for your cavery, just hand your ticket to our chef, collect your choice of meat and add whichever vegetables and sauces you want from the selection on offer. Table service is available if required.
The pub is very spacious and has a capacity of approximately 250 diners and is ideal for private functions, the pub layout has lots of areas that can be arranged to host such events. Large parties can be catered for, and the manager Lesley Aymes, can arrange event management, where you can allocate a budget with her and your event will be tailored to suit, so you can sit back and enjoys yourself.
The pub has a good selection of draught and real ale and has regular guest beers on tap. The quality house wines on offer are at a very reasonable 5.99 per bottle, they include white, red and a rose. Other wines are available from our menu, as is a good selection of hot drinks including tea, various coffees, hot chocolate and special liqueur coffees The smoking area is the next best thing to being indoors, it has been purpose built and offers smokers a comfortable environment which includes heating.
Outside we have what must be the largest beer garden in Altrincham, ideal for those hot summer days and evenings.
