At Michael Turner Wedding Photography we operate very much as a team, where we use our complimentary skills to ensure that we can 'cover all the angles'. By nature, we're quiet but determined people who like to achieve superb results with an absence of fuss.

Michael Turner
A career in photojournalism is the basis for Michael's natural photographic style, where the abilities he developed in producing high-quality images for newspapers and magazines now help him to capture compelling images of people and the events they are involved in. A qualified Master Photographer (AMPA) and an award winner throughout the twenty-plus years that he has spent behind a professional camera, Michael is proud to be recognised by his peers as a contributor to the advancement of photography. He has notably held these awards in recent years:
Winner of Master Photographers Association National Awards for Excellence, 1999 and 2000

Fuji Professional Award Winner, 1994 and 2000

Gold Award for Creative Wedding Photography
at the NW Professional Photographer of the Year 2006
Merit Award for Wedding Photojournalism at the NW Professional Photographer of the Year 2006
Michael is also a much sought after photographer of children and families.
Janet Turner
After starting out in a supporting role some 15 years ago, Janet is now an integral part of the professional photographic team at Michael Turner Wedding Photography. Her skill is in spotting the fleeting expressions and the background details that do so much to convey the atmosphere of the day, whilst her warm personality and infectious smile have been a calming influence on many a nervous bride. Janet loves to travel, and has attended numerous professional photographic training courses in the UK and overseas.

Both Janet and Michael are members of Fujifilm's high profile Envisage programme for professional photographers.
